Do not Fear

When I was a child I was afraid of the dark. I just knew something scary was waiting under my bed, or in my closet or behind my dresser. I’d bury my head under my blankets until I fell asleep. I’ll bet I’m not the only one who had that fear as a child. I’d even go as far as saying there are adults that still fear the dark.
The fact that we are being barraged about coronavirus every where we look suggests they are trying to instill fear in the general public. Take for
example on the internet there are many stories about people who have the virus and it is super bad. Is seams the more fear they can fill you with the more you will comply with whatever they want. It’s important to remember, especially in light of everthing going on, that God has this. He is in control and there is no reason to fear. No matter what happens remember:
Romans 8:28

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose". If you belong to Jesus, every situation is win-win. When you have that perspective it will change everything about your life because your trust, faith, is placed in Jesus and you rely on Him for the remedies.
That means no matter what is going on and how bad it seems, that some how God has a way of making it good. So remembering God is in control is important if you start feeling scared. Its about having faith in the Lord and leaning on Him during times of trouble. Time after time we are reminded in the Bible that we shouldn’t fear, to have faith in the Lord and He’ll take care of us.
Isaiah 41:10
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand".
Or
Isaiah 40:31
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint".
These two versus are clear. That if you have faith in the Lord, He will take care of you. That doesn’t mean that you can be foolish and not take precautions. After all even David prepared prior to going out to fight Goliath. Besides his faith in the Lord he gathered five stones to take into battle. There is no reason to fear. Let me put it like this. Fear is basically having faith in Satan and that things will not work out for the good. In essence, if you are fearful it’s like saying the Bible is false so God must not be telling the truth.
2 Timothy 1:7

"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline".
Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross so that you could have true freedom, and power and authority over evil. At the instant that he said “It’s finished” He returned your power and authority that Satan had swindled away from Adam. So, believe in who you are, a child of God. God is your protector and if He is for you who can be against you? To put it simply, you are a Warrior so be courageous and let your actions prove it. You can stand tall and courageous because you represent the Lord, and the lost need to see your courage and light so hopefully they’ll too accept the truth.
I’m going to leave you with one last thought and it just happens to be one of my favorite verses in the Bible:
Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Have no fear and be courageous, after all, you are men and women of God.
