Where does your strength come from?
It’s easy to quote what the Bible says: my strength comes from the Lord.....
There is verse after verse that talks about how God protects us, how He intercedes for us, how He sends angels to help fight evil for us. We can sit in church and listen, we can read the Bible and learn what it says. We can even say we have faith and believe what we’ve heard and read. However, we must institute into our lives what the Bible says, we must put into action what we learn. We cannot not just be a sponge and soak it all in, know it and then do nothing with it. Today is the day for sharing the gospel. Today is the day for courage. Today is the day for faith in action. Today is the day that everything you know about the Bible, the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God you put into your daily walk and talk. Today is the day that you allow yourself to be led by Holy Spirit and put into action what He says.
James 2:14-19
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
Take the step of faith, quit doubting and trust what you learned from the Bible. Quit arguing with Holy Spirit. You are protected and God’s ordained mission for you will only fail if you don’t take action and sit idly by and let somebody else do it.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Psalms 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
John 10:28-30
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
Walk the walk, don't just Talk the talk
You say you believe all things are possible with God. My question for you today, does your life, your actions, reflect what you say you believe?
