Forgotten Promises Resurrected, Matthew 28:20

Matthew 28:20 Jesus said, "...I am with you always, even to the end of the age".

Who are we?

Was not America founded on the backs of brave men and women?  Were not our forefathers radical people who were willing to give their lives for our freedom, our liberty, our free will.  They fought for their God given rights and prevailed.  Have you ever thought how it  might be, if they had never boarded their ship to sail from Europe to the new land because it was just too dangerous.  As you might recall from history, something that use to be taught in schools, many people of that time thought the earth was flat and there was a very real fear that by sailing off into the sunset they would actually be sailing right off the edge of the world.  Aren’t you glad that there were courageous men and women who took that chance?  Who have we become?  Are we so accustom to being coddled and pampered that we believe we can’t take care of ourselves?  Have we lost our forethought to the point that we cannot prepare for the simplest emergency?  Or, have we just decided we will just avoid anything that could possibly be dangerous?  Have we decided that the reward is just not worth the risk?

We love to play the National Anthem on the 4th of July, and at sporting events.  A song that ends with the words “the land of the free and the home of the brave”.  Do you actually believe that?   As a culture, are we free and are we actually brave? I question the reality of that line.  You also need to ask yourself, "Am I brave enough to stand firm on the TRUTH when the whole world is yelling at me to sit-down, do I see myself as free"?  It is very apparent that we, as a whole, have become accustom to our government taking care of us, telling us what we can and can’t do.  We are afraid of what will happen if we don’t comply or if things don’t go exactly as planned.  That’s not bravery, courage or freedom, that is fear, cowardly, and bondage.

Warning:

Revelation 21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which is the second death."

Is that what our nation has come to?  Or, are there still a few strong men and women willing to stand up and fight for what God has given us?  Are there a few who are not afraid to stand in the gap and stop evil in its tracks? To reiterate, it’s time that brave men and women stand in the gap to prevent evil from totally infiltrating our homes, our schools, our communities, and our country.  Fear has no place in our life, God's grace and Mercy and Jesus' sacrifice made it possible for for everyone to be fearless, to be courageous, to escape the chains of bondage. But, if you deny them, God the Father and Jesus then you have every reason to fear!  Because confronting evil, Satan, by yourself without God's covering you don't stand a chance of survival. To harness the power and authority Jesus has you must become a son or daughter of the most high, God. To become a son or daughter you must repent of your sins and wholeheartedly accept Jesus as your savior.

Repent definition per 1828 Webster's Dictionary: In theology, to sorrow or be pained for sin, as a violation of God's holy law, a dishonor to his character and government, and the foulest ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence.

Where do you stand?

Where do you stand?  Think about it, because the “go-to”  answer for most people in the United States is, “I’m free and I’m brave simply because I’m an American.  I would have to disagree with them because our true freedom comes from Jesus and only if you accept Him for what He did for all.  John 8:36 says, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed’.  Freedom is a gift, but you must have faith and trust in God and His plan and the courage to put it to action.

I’m going to leave you with a couple quotes from Thomas Jefferson:

Thomas Jefferson said:

  • Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.

  • I predict future happiness for Americans, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

If you know things are not right but have the thought or feeling that someone else is going to fix them then I’m here to tell you that someone else is you.   If you don’t courageously stand up, stand firm in the TRUTH and take action, then my question for you is, “Who are you really, and where is your faith placed?” That's for you to self reflect and ponder on.   Jesus did the hard part to set us free, we only have to accept, believe and take action to show our Faith is in Jesus

May You Always Walk in the TRUTH!
