Thank You Jesus

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus for showing us the way, the truth and the life.  Thank you for setting the example for who we should be, how we should act and how we should speak.  Thank for fulfilling the law and for setting us free and giving us back our power over sin.  Thank you for defeating death and for our salvation, thank you for our spiritual gifts and for allowing us to serve you.  Thank you for returning the light to our lives and for giving us your light so that we are never in darkness.  Thank you for always being with us, and watching over us during every step on Earth, thank you for sending angels to protect us, thank you for Holy Spirit that guides us, thank you for always being here to pick us up and steady us when times are rough.  Thank you for sharing the good times and allowing us to rejoice. And, when our time here is done, thank you Jesus for being there to carry us home. 

Prayer for all

Jesus, I pray today that each Christian realizes just how powerful they are because you live within us.  You gave David the strength, courage and skill to defeat Goliath, you sent an angel to guide Peter out of prison, you performed miracles of healing over and over, you parted waters so that your people had safe passage, you created the heavens and the Earth and that power lies with in us because we belong to you.  Jesus, I just ask that each of us realize that same power lies within each of us because we belong to you.  Lord, mountains are being moved every day, let us wake up and notice, let us have the faith that moves those mountains just as we are called to do.  Lord I ask that we all stand up and stand out and walk with faith and courage knowing that all things are possible with you.  I also ask, Jesus that we be humble in our approach that we love the unlovable, that we tolerate the intolerable, that we not sit on a pillar of Christian righteousness but walk through the valleys of death and despair and extinguish the darkness there, that we be the lifeline for the drowning, that we get our hands dirty to pull the struggling out of the pits of sin. Jesus, I ask that we believe that we can walk through any fire without being burned so that we may bring glory to you. Lord, I ask that we have patience when dealing with the lost, that we build relationships and show them the truth, even when everything within in us is screaming to declare they are wrong and prove we are right.  Lord, I ask that we let your love flow through us and that we show the world your light so that you may cultivate and harvest when the time is right.   Jesus, I ask that each of take our stand next to you, that we walk lockstep on your path arm-in-arm to carry your love to those in need.  Jesus, I pray in your almighty name.  Amen
