We Must Fight! We must not Fear!
Let me start by asking a couple questions. Answer to yourself and be honest with yourself. Who are you? What defines you? What sets you apart?
My name is Von Dailey, I’m a retired AF Officer, I have multiple degrees and years of leadership experience. I’m a business owner, I’m a home owner, I’m a husband, I’m a father, I’m a brother, I am all those things, but who I am? What defines me? What sets me apart? What is my true identity? My true identity is that I am an adopted son of God. God is my father and I belong to Him. That is who I am, He is who defines me and He is who has sanctified me and sets me apart. I am a man of God with a calling to spread His word and teach people who they are or can be in Christ. That is who I am! I have a message for you and I’m on a mission. A mission to strengthen faith in our brothers and sisters. I’m on a mission to teach our brothers and sisters about their identity and the power and authority they have through Jesus and over evil. I’m on a mission to teach our brothers and sisters to stand firm in their faith and that Jesus is supreme and with Him we are invincible. I’m on a mission to put Satan behind us and bring the full force of Jesus against him. I’m on a mission to serve our Lord and God! I’m on a mission to spread the light of Jesus to all!
As Christians, we are the light of the world, we are justified and sanctified. That means we are set apart have a divine purpose . We are saints in the Kings Court and we are always in Satan’s sights for attack! So be ready. That’s easily said, but how do you be ready? Let me break it down for you:
1. Know who you are in Christ
2. Accept who you are in Christ
3. Put away your old self (carnal self)
4. Live by the spirit
5. Converse with God the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit
6. Believe True Faith moves mountains
7. Exercise your power and authority (given to you by Jesus) over evil.
8. Do not fear—be courageous
9. The truth is never wrong
10. Put on the Full Armor of God
What I know:
As Christians, we are spiritual warriors, we are mighty and strong, we have been baptized by Holy Spirit and we have strength, power and authority over evil. The fight is for souls and to bring them out of Satan’s lies and deception and help them see and accept the Truth of Jesus. As we walk according to God”s will, We are invincible and we need to live our lives as such! We need to walk with our heads held high and proclaim victory over Satan and never back down from evil or compromise to appease him. Right is right and wrong is wrong, and almost right is wrong! We are to face evil head on without an ounce of fear knowing that God has our backs. After all, God is for us, what or who could be against us and prevail?
As Christians, we need to prepare to be attacked! Why? Because we will be attacked! Satan has us in his sights, he knows our vulnerabilities and he knows our weaknesses. As a body of Christ we will all be attacked. Count on it! Sometimes it’s subtle other times it’s a full head on onslaught and Satan wants to destroy us.
Our job as spiritual warriors in Christ’s Court is to defend, protect, and cover our brother or sister in prayer, and in words and in actions. It’s our duty and responsibly to stand side-by-side with our sister and/or brother and go toe-to-toe with the enemy. Satan needs to know we are not fearful of him. He needs to know we will not back down, He needs to know that when he attacks one of us, he attacks all of us. We need to make it clear that we know we have the power of Jesus with us and within us and that we know, without a doubt, we will be victorious. We must stand together, every brother and sister, no matter what. Not one is left behind, not one is sacrificed for the whole. We all make up the whole and as a whole we will prevail. We need to make it absolutely clear to Satan, that no matter what he does, he will not gain a foothold in our midst. Just as a mother bear protects her young, we need to protect and defend our attacked sisters and brothers in Christ. They are apart of the King’s court and they are apart of our body. Each and every one needs to defend as such. We need to defend them as if our life depends on it because it does. If you think I’m crazy because you’ve never been attacked, maybe it’s time to evaluate how effective you are in the work God has for you. Maybe it’s time to get out of your comfort zone. Maybe it’s time to take a step of faith and follow that prompting you’ve been feeling.
We cannot allow ourselves to be fooled by Satan’s lies and deception any longer. We live by the gospel, we believe in the virgin birth, we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus, we believe in salvation and life everlasting. So we must also believe we are under constant attack. We must believe Satan is prowling like a lion waiting to devour us. We must believe our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. So no matter what, we must stand united under God, we must not turn our backs on one of our own saying it’s for the good of the congregation. That is a lie! Or that It’s really for the good of the pocket book, in the short term. That is fear speaking and a lack of faith to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. The good of the congregation means we are all there, we are all represented! It means we all stand together to fight for the common good. It means we stand firm in the truth and we don’t back down. It means we do not leave one person, no not one, to wither at the hands of Satan as we retreat to the safety of our comfort zone. No! We stand firm and we fight! We surround our brother or sister in a circle of love, and we come battle ready with our war faces on to let Satan know that under no circumstances and without hesitation that he may not have one of ours. Make no mistake, God’s children belong to Him and by no means will we sacrifice one. No, not one! We stand together, we laugh together, we cry together, we fight together and we live together so help us God!
If you can not make the distinction between loyalty to God and what belongs to Him or loyalty to money and fear that it may disappear then you need to take a step back and reevaluate your faith and the promises God has made. For we are His and He will not allow us to fail in our battle to fight evil, spread the gospel and bring lost souls to Him. We are invincible! Fear is a tactic used by Satan to make us weak, to make us second guess who we are, to make us hesitate all while he is gaining a foothold among us. We cannot fear, let me say it again, we cannot and we must not fear! Jesus is our savior, Holy Spirit is our director, God is our leader, and we are ordained to do their bidding. It is written, since God is for us, who can be against us? Take that to heart, let it pulse through your veins, let it be your every breath, believe it, live it and make it who you are. For we are defined by our Father. That is who we are! We are sons and daughters of the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace, the creator of all things. We belong to Him and He will never leave us or forsake us. Jesus is the perfect example of our invincibility. We are the same as our savior. Nothing can separate us from Him, nothing can come between us. Jesus said “with God all things are possible.” That means ALL things. Not just some things but all things! That means there is no reason to fear. That means we can stand faithfully knowing that the power of the cross is with us, knowing that the creator of the heavens and the earth is with us always. That means our mission cannot and will not fail. So who’s with me?
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you Lord for being with us, thank you Lord for your grace and mercy that set us free from the yoke of slavery. Thank you Lord for the cross and our salvation, thank you Lord for making us your sons and daughters. Thank you Lord, for the power and authority you have given us over evil. I pray In your precious name Jesus that each and every one of your follows accepts who they are through you. That they fully believe without a doubt that through you they are invincible and that with you all things are possible. I pray that they always lean on you and that there is not a trace of fear within in them. I pray they each have the courage to listen to Holy Spirit and implement what
