Was not America founded on the backs of brave men and women?
Were not our forefathers radical people who were willing to give their lives for our freedom, our liberty, our free will. They fought for their God given rights and for our God given rights and prevailed. Have you ever thought how it might be, if they had never boarded their ship to sail from Europe to the new land because it was just too dangerous. As you might recall from history, something that use to be taught in schools, many people of that time thought the earth was flat and there was a very real fear that by sailing off into the sunset they would actually be sailing right off the edge of the world. Aren’t you glad that there were courageous men and women who took that chance? Who have we become? Are we so accustom to being coddled and pampered that we believe we can’t take care of ourselves? Have we lost our forethought to the point that we cannot prepare for the simplest emergency? Or, have we just decided we will just avoid anything that could possibly be dangerous? Have we decided that the reward is just not worth the risk?
As a country, are we really free and brave?
We love to play the National Anthem on the 4th of July, and at sporting events. A song that ends with the words “the land of the free and the home of the brave”. Do you actually believe that? Are we free and are you actually brave? I question the reality of that line. Are you brave enough to stand firm on the TRUTH when the whole world is yelling at you to sit-down? It is very apparent that we have become accustom to our government taking care of us, telling us what we can and can’t do. We are afraid of what will happen if we don’t comply. Or if things don’t go exactly as planned. That not bravery, or courage, that is fear and cowardly. Is that what our nation has come to? Or, are there still a few strong men and women willing to stand up and fight for what God has given us? Are there a few who are not afraid to stand in the gap and stop evil in its tracks?
To reiterate, it’s time that brave men and women stand in the gap to prevent evil from totally infiltrating our homes, our schools, our communities, and our country. Fear has no place in our life! Where do you stand? Think about it, because the go to answer for most people in the United States is, “I’m free and I’m brave simply because I’m an American.
Is that the actual reality of life in America today?
I would have to no. I disagree on many levels because are "freedoms" have been whittled away year after year and we as a country have allowed it to happed. we became complacent and comfortable in our daily lives. I would also say that most are still deceived and believe we are free and brave Americans. Again, I have to disagree. We are not free simply because we live in the United States of America. That's a deception to keep people from the truth because true freedom comes from Jesus and only if you accept Him for what He did for all. John 8:36 says, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed’. Freedom is a gift, but you must have faith and trust in God and His plan and the courage to put it to good use. Do you have that kind of Faith and trust in God? Do you have the courage to stand firm on the TRUTH when the world is screaming at you to sit down? Think about it, because the battle we find ourselves in is real snd you will be tested. For example, if you quote a verse from the Bible and all of a a sudden you hear a chant, "Hate Speech, Hate Speech, Hate Speech" from the crowd, what are you going to do?
I’m going to leave you with a couple quotes from Thomas Jefferson:
Thomas Jefferson said:
Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.
I predict future happiness for Americans, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
In closing, for your self reflection, WHO ARE YOU, WHAT DEFINES YOU? Hint, if your answer doesn't include a relationship with Jesus, I'd suggest reevaluating where you are in the hopes of becoming the person God created you to be.
